One would have imagined that green/environmentally-friendly electronics would have attracted many writers, but surprisingly my search only produced four.
| Title | Green Technology and Design for the Environment |
|---|---|
| Author | Samir B. Billatos |
| ISBN | 1997 |
| Publisher | Taylor & Francis Inc |
| Date | 1560324600 |
| Description | This book is mostly about “environmentally conscious manufacturing”, with a consequent emphasis on the handling of waste, on recycling issues, in particular for plastics, and on safe disposal. Cleaning and VOCs get some attention, and there is an interesting section on Design for assembly and disassembly. In this varied package, Life Cycle Analysis is given a Design for Maintainability spin and Quality Function Deployment appears in conjunction with Finite Element Analysis! So not an easy read, although most of the issues have been identified. |
