Problems from lack of flatness

Potential problems caused are at

• printing, because a sufficiently good seal between stencil and pad is not achieved
• component placement, where the vision system may detect only the centre portion of the pad, and the parts placed may skid across the surface.

Note that these problems are especially acute for fine-pitch work.
