Your car is a metal box, providing a Faraday cage inside which you can float (electrically!) quite safely. The tyres provide a degree of isolation from ground, though this reduces when they are wet. Even if the car is struck by lightning, you will be substantially protected, though there may be some secondary effects (burning; psychological shock).
If you are outside the car, you may actually suffer a direct lightning strike . . . RIP.
